Raymond and his team went above and beyond with the move. They were professional from start to finish, carefully wrapping and moving all the belongings from the apartment into storage. They communicated well and even took down a pair of curtains that we thought we’d have to do ourselves later. Unit size: at 20 x 8 x 8 feet, our containers are 25% larger than the biggest unit PODS offers - relevant for Austin's larger suburban homes in Cedar Park, Round Rock, and the Hill Country where households tend to run bigger. Storage conditions: units are kept in a climate-controlled facility indoors, not left outside exposed to Central Texas heat and humidity. For wood furniture, electronics, and anything temperature-sensitive, that difference is significant across a multi-month storage period.

If you anticipate needing regular access to stored items during your transition, flag that at booking so your Move Expert can help you plan accordingly.
Standard exclusions: flammable liquids, hazardous chemicals, firearms, ammunition, and live animals. No single item over 300 lbs is eligible. Grand Pianos and Baby Grand Pianos cannot go into portable storage under any circumstances. Tempur-Pedic, adjustable, and Sleep Number mattresses cannot be stacked or stored upright - they require either a dedicated container or a signed liability waiver. Austin customers in transitional situations - short-term rentals between closings, renovations - sometimes have complex inventories, so if you have questions about a specific item, confirm at booking rather than on delivery day.
