Let’s go on a walk down memory lane…back to 1985!
January, 1985
The original 3 Men Movers was founded in 1985 by John Fischer. With limited resources and capital, Fischer started the moving company with only one truck and a small staff. His hard work, honesty, and grassroots marketing efforts paid off. Word spread and his company grew.
November, 2004
After Founder John Fischer hired his daughter Jacky Fischer as a consultant in 2003, he sold the company to her in 2004. Since then Jacky has been the CEO of 3 Men Movers.
April, 2009
3 Men Movers expands into its first new market outside of Houston – San Antonio.
Present Day
To date, this moving company has grown from one truck to a fleet of more than 100 and from one employee to more than 400 staff and associates. With locations in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston we added to our service areas and extras like packing services and portable MOVITS storage options added to the mix, we’ve grown to support Texas, Florida, and soon nationwide movers.

Zoe Rice
Marketing Manager
As a Marketing Manager at 3 Men Movers, Zoe Rice brings 10 years of experience in branding, visuals, social media, and ad program management. She thrives on creativity and is passionate about ensuring the company’s voice and values shine through every touchpoint, helping 3 Men Movers become a household name across Texas—and beyond! With expertise in graphic design, brand marketing, and content creation, Zoe’s work is as dynamic as it is impactful. Outside of work, she’s passionate about animals, music, and health and wellness. She aims to be remembered for her infectious positivity; always laughing, smiling, and sharing joy with those around her.
Jacky Fischer
CEO
Jacky Fischer is the owner of 3 Men Movers, one of the largest privately-owned moving companies in Texas. Her journey began when her parents relocated to Houston in the early 1980s. Her father, John Fischer, founded 3 Men Movers at the age of 50, starting from scratch to support his family during a difficult time. He ran the business until 2002, when a massive stroke forced him to step back. At his request, Jacky stepped in to help with the family business. Growing up, Jacky worked across a variety of unconventional family businesses and is sure her parents broke some child labor laws. During this time she gained hands-on experience that she jokingly refers to as her “undergraduate degree from the school of hard knocks.” She later earned her MBA from Rice University. In 2003, Jacky officially took the reins at 3 Men Movers, transforming it from a small mom-and-pop operation into a multimillion-dollar enterprise and a trusted name in moving services throughout Texas. Jacky’s achievements have been widely recognized; she was named one of the top female business owners by the Houston Business Journal and won the national Enterprising Woman of the Year Award. Kathryn Cheung
Controller
Kathryn has been a cornerstone of 3 Men Movers since 2014, bringing over 40 years of accounting and finance experience to the team. Her responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, cash flow forecasting, month-end close, and treasury functions, along with preparing financial reports and working closely with state auditors. Kathryn’s career began in Hong Kong, where she held roles at HSBC and in public accounting, later serving as a controller in the garment import/export industry. After moving to the U.S., she built an impressive track record with the Texas Department of Transportation and KPMG/Outsource Partners International. Kathryn’s wealth of experience and dedication make her an invaluable part of the 3 Men Movers family.
Gor Avagyan
Director of Technology
As the Director of Technology at 3 Men Movers, Gor leads the development and maintenance of the company’s ERP/CRM systems, websites, mobile apps, call center integrations, and tech infrastructure. With over 20 years of experience in software engineering, he thrives on the challenge of always working on something new. Gor is especially proud of successfully building integrated systems that streamline operations and improve customer experiences. Outside of work, he enjoys playing chess and traveling to explore new places.
Mitch Gonzalez
Director of Commercial & Enterprise Services
Mitch Gonzalez is the Executive Director of the Enterprise & Commercial Services Division at 3 Men Movers, bringing over 25 years of expertise in large-scale relocations. A Miami native who has called Texas home since 2010, Mitch is dedicated to helping businesses and property teams experience seamless, stress-free moves with customized solutions. Outside of work, he’s a devoted husband and father who enjoys painting, skateboarding, and capturing moments through photography. Mitch’s creative spirit and professional leadership make him a valuable asset to the team.
Lance Downing
Director of Marketing
As the Director of Marketing at 3 Men Movers, Lance focuses on driving traffic, showcasing the company’s exceptional value, and turning first-time customers into loyal advocates. With 8 years of digital marketing experience in retail and e-commerce, plus over two decades of expertise in budget management, performance marketing, and data analysis, Lance combines strategy and data to enhance connections between movers and customers. Outside of work, he’s an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys snowboarding in the winter, hiking in the summer, and making the most of every season.
Cassie Downing

As the Director of Customer Experience at 3 Men Movers, Cassie Downing is a dedicated operations expert, customer champion, and talent cultivator. Since 2015, she has been combining her passion for service and leadership to bring out the best in employees and deliver exceptional client experiences. Cassie was instrumental in pioneering a program that has redefined how 3 Men Movers approaches customer service by identifying opportunities to go above and beyond for our clients. She thrives on creating meaningful connections, empowering her team, and ensuring every client feels valued and stress-free throughout their move.
